I think they would be * paint brushes * pens (black pens to be more specific-I have a HUGE collection) but I think my fountain pen is my favorite * sewing machine - it can be used on paper and fabric * unique tools that can be used in different ways (thank you Ephemera Paducah for having those!) Now it's your turn! What art supply or tool changed your life? Something that said "OMG!!! This is IT!" or "I can't live without this"? Tell us a bit about it. But there are a couple tools that have followed me for many years and several different mediums. It's hard to choose!! I think with each art transition, there has been a tool that said "how did you live without me?". As I sit here thinking about it, I'm wondering what supply item rocked my world the most in the last 20 years. Having this journey has allowed me to collect so many tools and art supplies (and my "stash" is bigger than I'd like to admit!). My latest passion is fiber arts and fabric, most recently quilting. I started out as a stamper/card maker and went through the whole gamut of paper-based art (scrapbooks, collage, drawing/zentangle), jewelry making, 3D assemblage, painting (acrylic/watercolor/cold wax) and so many other mediums. If you are anything like me (and I think most of us), you have gone through many different art mediums and crafts in your journey. We've all had some sort of creative/artistic journey to get where we are right now-and where we will go in the future. It's Sunday so let's have a little chat! Being an artist (and we all ARE artists no matter what you think), we have gone through a lot of tools and supplies.

Then you’ll dig through the bins of figurines, trims, tiny ornaments and the like to create your tableau. We’ll start with a modest cigar box and add chalk paint in your favorite holiday color. I figured I could part with my treasures if I shared them with like-minded glitter-lovers in a workshop making shadowboxes. So much so it’s taking up much-needed shelf space in the Studio. Little bottle-brush trees in an array of colors not necessarily found in nature.Ī junker at heart, I’ve been picking up little Santas, ornaments, and doo-dads for years. I LOVE the kitsch associated with Christmas! Slightly loved ceramic figurines made long-ago.
